Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful young woman as part of my Milestone Photo Shoot experience in Surrey. Her session was designed to celebrate her 18th birthday while also marking the end of her A Levels – two significant achievements that deserved to be captured and remembered.
On the Running Track - Celebrating a Successful Running Career
Celebrating an Important Chapter
As a dedicated athlete, running had played a huge role in her life so far. We wanted her photographs to tell her story and reflect this important part of who she is.
For the first part of her senior photo shoot, we headed to the running track where she had spent countless hours training. Photographing her in her running kit, in a place filled with memories and achievements, allowed us to capture some fabulous unique photos marking the pinnacle of her running career before she left for university.
These images became a powerful reminder of everything she had accomplished before taking her next steps into adulthood.
Studio Portraits to Showcase Her Personality
After our outdoor session, we moved to my Surrey photography studio for the second part of the shoot.

While we captured some additional athletic portraits, we also wanted to celebrate the person behind the runner. Together, we selected some of her favourite outfits to create a collection of contemporary studio portraits that reflected her personality, style and confidence.
The result was a gallery of images that perfectly captured this exciting moment between childhood and adulthood.
She now has some lovely portraits to give to family and to treasure herself that can be turned into albums, wall art, or simple prints for framing.
